Variations in volleyball are in circulation from around 1895. Since then, the game has evolved and it was in 1964 when sport entered its first Olympic Games.


Sport now has a global position among nations around the world that compete with each other professionally. The highlight of this sport is the Olympic Games, in which the best players are often shown.



Volleyball rules and regulations


Each team includes 6 players and 6 substitutes. Players can be replaced at any time, but if they are to return, they can only be exchanged for the player who replaced them.



Each team can hit the ball three times before the ball is returned. The defensive team can then try to block or return the ball again by hitting it a maximum of three times. Games are played to 25 points and must be won by 2 clear points.



Violations will be triggered in the following cases: Going through the baseline while serving the ball. The ball hits the net and does not get to the net (if the ball hits the net and continues to pass through the net, it is completely legal).



Players can not wear, smoke or run with a ball. The Players can not touch the net with any part of the body.

If the net supposedly hit it, not the other way around, that’s fine. The ball can not travel under the net. Players can not reach through the net and hit the ball.



 The object of the game

  The opposing team must try to prevent the ball from bouncing before returning the ball. The games are played in the best of 3 or 5 sets, and the team with the most sets at the end of the game wins.


In Volleyball rules and regulations, Each team has 6 players on the field at the same time. Substitutes can be used throughout the game. There are no professional mixed gender bands.


Each player occupies a position in the attack zone (next to the grid) or in the defensive zone (behind the court). Three players are in each zone and rotate clockwise after each point.


The ground has a rectangular shape and has dimensions of 18m x 9m. Running through the pitch is a net with a height of 2.43 m. The ball with a diameter should have of 8 inches and a mass between 9 and 10 ounces.


Around the contour of the field, there is an area outside the field, and if the ball was to be reflected in these sections, then the point would be awarded to the opposing team.


Each team receives up to two-time limits per set for 30 seconds each. After each set, the number of timeout exceedances is restored to two, regardless of how many of them have been previously used.

To get a point, the ball must hit the ground within the section shown on the opponent’s half. You can also get an opponent point that did not hit the scratched section in the middle of the opponent hit the ball with the net. The point can be obtained from both teams.


The serving player has to do this from behind the baseline and can use the action above or under the armpit and hit it with only his hand. Once the server has been executed, the server can join the team in the game and fight for points.


 Each team can hit the ball three times before the ball is returned. If the ball hits the boundary line, then the ball is considered in play. The defensive team can jump and try to block the ball returning to your side of the pitch.


If a block attempt is made and the ball bounces in the middle of the opponents, a point is awarded. If after the block the ball bounces, then the point is awarded to the opposing team. Each game is played up to 25 points and must be clear in two points. When results reach 24-24, the game will be played until one team leads two.
